Midori Ayashi

Age: 17

Birthplace: Mist Shrine located in the Miyabi Faction

Midori is the daughter of Jun and Ryuu Ayashi, whom are the leaders of Miyabi and its nature abundant valleys. She learned to appreciate the beauty and fragility of nature at a young age, and was destined to be its protector. Miyabi, known to be a region that was said to possess a powerful spiritual nexus, was said to have sealed away countless evil creatures within its lands. The benevolent nature spirits are said to choose pure-hearted individuals who are willing to risk their lives for the sake of preserving the earth. Midori, having being raised to love and care for all living things along with her adopted brother Isamu, was then chosen to lead an ancient clan of the wind known as the Gusto, as a coming conflict would occur within the continent of Termina, threatening not only Miyabi, but all of its regions. With the upcoming DT Grand Championships taking place in the continent, Midori is tasked to represent the Miyabi faction and their determination to preserve the very lands they have protected for decades.

Personality: Midori is quite shy around most people who are not from Miyabi, often finding herself not saying much as a few words or resorting to sign language, much some people's confusion. Having hardly ever set foot from beyond the temples of Mist Shrine, she is not fully accustomed to the lifestyles of those beyond her region. She is often seen tending to flowers and woodland creatures wherever they may be. She is quite fond of her brother Isamu, who is always trying to do his best to ensure her safety and often worries for his as well. She often likes having conversations with Isamu whenever they are alone, asking questions to him about the things outside from her past experiences. When she is alone, she sometimes enjoys conversing with her spiritual familiar; Gusto Egul, one of the very monsters in her deck. Midori begins to open up to people more upon her initial visit to Doriado City, where she meets people coming from all over of Termina's regions, with Kageru Hinodama and his group becoming one of her closest friends from beyond Miyabi. She would eventually find that she seems to possess stronger feelings for Kageru, but feels conflicted due to the situations occurring during the DT Grand Championship.

Midori is fearful of her monsters safety in battle, and this reflects her, and the Gusto tribe's defensive play style, involving a multitude of "floater" monsters and methods to recycle them. She shows headstrong determination, however, and due to her experience from training at Mist Shrine and its elite duelists, as well as Isamu who was also a dueling champion, opponents would find themselves astonished by her abilities. Learning how dire her responsibilities are, she shows an unbending spirit to protect those she wishes, and will not hold back when the situation requires it, even if her opponent would be someone she once knew.

Being chosen by the Gusto tribe, Midori was shown to possess a strong connection with spirits, being able to feel and understand what her monsters do, and thus this deep connection and the tribes complete trust in her has allowed her to even alleviate the fear of her monsters even should they face dire situations. Her strong link to spirits also allows her to sense dangers from much wider ranges, physical, mental, or spiritual compared to the other clan users, and at times when she has physical contact with a clan user, she may even learn of their experiences and sympathize with them. When her mind is cleared of doubts, and her spiritual bonds unite and reach their peak, she is able to call forth even miracles that would grant her command of even more powerful creatures to aid her cause.
